Better Late Than Never - Part 2

There were a few important events from last school year that needed to be included in our school blog - the Mason's bike drawing and graduation. Apologies for tardiness but at last the posts are here.

Mason Bike Drawing This spring the Mason donated two bikes for the Books for Bikes drawing. Students read for the month of April to earn tickets to be put in the drawing. Levi and Celina were the lucky winners this year.

Graduation 2011

Eighth graders, Tea' and Wyatt, graduated from Hall School this spring along with seven kindergartens Holly, Tyler, Colt, Paytn, Levi, Madison and Jackson. The program included selections from the band, a choral program, prophecies and will from the upper room students, a graduation speaker, and the presentation of diplomas.

I Love to Read Week!
This spring, Hall School celebrated "I Love to Read" week. The favorite day of the week is "favorite story book character". All of the participants pick a character from a favorite book and come to school dressed as that character. The first activity of the day is to gather together and take turns describing our character and see if anyone can guess who we are.

'Read the Rails"

Our second Reading Reward fieldtrip included a visit to Montana Rail Link in Missoula. This educational outing coincided with the Upper Room Social Studies unit on the development of the railways in Montana in the 1800s. Afterwards we enjoyed using our gymnastics skills from our P.E. class at 'Mismo Gymnastics"

Learning about safety around railroad tracks.

New Flute

We are the proud new owners of a flute! We have been collecting labels with Labels for Education, a program through Campbells Soup. We accumulated 29,500 in order to have enough. Now that's a lot of soup! It took a long time but we are so thrilled.

Cookie Sale

A recent tradition started at Hall School is our Annual Cookie Sale. It is held in December to coincide with the need for holiday baking. We were very successful and are grateful to the support of our community. Susanna helps with cookie sale.

What a variety of goodies!
